Dr. Sam Masri is a Board-Certified Licensed Chiropractor serving the Arlington community.
Dr. Masri graduated with Honors from National University of Health and Sciences in Illinois. He earned a Doctorate of Chiropractic, an additional Bachelors Degree in Human Biology, and certifications in acupuncture and meridian therapy. He is a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician (CCSP). Titleist Performance Institute Level 1 Certified health care professional. Prior to his Doctorate, he received a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Miami University of Oxford, Ohio.
Dr. Masri is up to date with the most current treatment modalities and protocols within the fields of chiropractic and acupuncture medicine. This allows Dr. Masri to bring a unique conservative perspective to patient care. As a Chiropractor with experience, he is committed to promoting optimal health and well being of patients.
Dr. Masri uses a "whole person approach". This approach to wellness means looking for underlying causes of any disturbance or disruption (which may or may not be causing symptoms at the time) and make whatever interventions and lifestyle adjustments that would optimize the conditions for normal function. Using this unique approach, Dr. Masri is able to help you to accelerate and/or maintain your journey to good health.
Dr. Nguyen is a Board Certified Chiropractic Physician who graduated from National University of Health Sciences (NUHS) in Lombard, Illinois where he earned his second Bachelor’s Degree in Human Biology and his Doctorate of Chiropractic. While at NUHS Dr. Nguyen was fortunate enough to work alongside some of the most knowledgeable and esteemed doctors in the field. Before his Doctorate, he earned a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago/Champagne. Titleist Performance Institute Level 1 Certified health care professional.
While earning his Doctor of Chiropractic, Dr. Nguyen was an assistant to Dr. James Jedlicka -Associate Professor, Chiropractic Practice. The knowledge of flexion-distraction that he learned from Dr. Jedlicka allowed him to broaden his approach to health care when treating patients. During his internship at NUHS, Dr Nguyen was able to enhance his acupuncture skill with the direction of Dr. Yihyun Kwon, Assistant Dean who is in charge of National's Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine degree programs at NUHS.
In addition, Dr. Nguyen is an Acupuncture Certified which is bestowed by the NUHS. Other certifications include Cox Flexion-Distraction technique. He is also a member of the American Chiropractic Association (ACA) and Virginia Chiropractic Society (VCA).
Yi Gao is an licensed and nationally certified acupuncturist who blends traditional acupuncture with herbs to help manage everyday health conditions. Traditional Chinese Medicine has been in his family for generations. He studied acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine in Shanghai University of TCM, China. He holds a masters in acupuncture from New York School of Traditional Chinese Medicine. He is happy to join the BCA team.
Dr. Shirin is a Maryland and Virginia Licensed acupuncturist and is National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) certified in both acupuncture and herbology.
Dr. Shirin graduated in 1982 from Radiology Medical School in Berlin, Germany. After working in Spandau hospital for many years, she decided to redirect herself to furthering her education, only this time with a focus on acupuncture and herbology. Her studies brought her to Shanghai, China, where she was under the guidance of many fine professors; she mastered the art of acupuncture. Dr. Shirin graduated from University of Traditional Medicine in China.
Acupuncture helps prevent and alleviate many common medical conditions such as asthma, depression, anxiety, PMS, menopause, allergies, migraines, headaches, facial palsy, neck and shoulder pains, carpal tunnel, sciatica, hip pain, knee pains, foots pains, arthritis and tendinitis. One of the keys to this treatment is the channeling of energy along well-defined pathways in the body.
Acupuncture has been practiced in China for more than 3,000 years and has been cited by the World Health Organization as an effective form of treatment for over 100 health conditions.
